In the season prior, he showcased his prowess with 26 goals and assists in 35 games for Brentford, and before that, he managed 20 goals and assists in 37 games. Analyzing his productivity post-promotion to the Premier League with Brentford as a whole undeniably establishes him as an exceptional striker. Consequently, his inclusion would bolster Postecoglou’s offensive arsenal significantly.
Specifically, Toney’s proficiency in converting chances would undoubtedly elevate club captain Son’s performance to unprecedented heights. According to Understat, the South Korean fell short of his expected assists figure by 3.34. While Richarlison concluded the campaign with a commendable tally of 12 goals and four assists in 31 games, he hasn’t achieved 20 goal involvements in a single season.
