BREAKING NEWS- Tottenham ready to fast-track record-breaking transfer with talks ON for Daniel Levy masterstroke

Tottenham Hotspur are optimistic about their chances of outmaneuvering several Premier League competitors to secure the signature of an England international, set to become the club’s record signing, according to reports.

Despite England’s struggles at Euro 2024, many of their top talents are attracting significant attention this summer. One player in particular, Marc Guehi, has caught the eye of Manchester United, who are looking to bolster their defense with one, possibly two, new center-backs.

Meanwhile, another Crystal Palace star, Eberechi Eze, is at the center of a heated transfer race. The dynamic attacker has a release clause reportedly valued at £60 million. Eze, who contributed 15 goals in 27 Premier League matches for Palace last season, is on the radar of Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United.

However, according to The Times, Tottenham, under the management of Ange Postecoglou, are leading the charge for Eze’s signature. The north London club is ready to intensify their efforts.

## Tottenham’s Major Push for Eze

Tottenham are untroubled by the £60 million fee required to secure Eze’s transfer, a sum that would make the five-cap England international their most expensive acquisition to date. Richarlison’s move from Everton two years ago, which cost £60 million (comprising £50 million plus £10 million in add-ons), would be surpassed by Eze’s straightforward £60 million deal.

Reports suggest that Tottenham are confident in their ability to clinch the deal for the Eagles’ talisman and are prepared to accelerate their efforts once England’s Euro 2024 campaign concludes. England faces Slovakia in the Round of 16 on Sunday and, despite their poor form, are heavily favored to advance. The winner of the Italy vs. Switzerland match would await them in the quarter-finals. However, without a significant improvement, England’s hopes could be dashed by Italy on July 6.

## Daniel Levy’s Role in the Transfer

According to TEAMtalk, one key reason for Tottenham’s confidence is chairman Daniel Levy’s influence. Levy maintains excellent relations with the CAA Stellar agency, which represents Eze. Sources indicate that talks between Spurs and Eze’s camp have already begun, with several rounds of discussions taking place in recent weeks.

Last season, Eze primarily played as an attacking midfielder, which would put him in direct competition with James Maddison. However, Postecoglou likely has plans to integrate both players into his starting lineup, with Eze having also played on the left wing at times last season.

In addition to Eze, The Times reports that Tottenham also aims to sign a versatile defender and a forward to further strengthen their squad.
