“Breaking news- Tottenham hold serious talks with agent to sign deadly forward like Bukayo Saka alongside Pedro Neto

Tottenham Hotspur fans are eagerly anticipating the club’s efforts to sign a top-tier attacker this summer. After narrowly missing out on a Champions League spot by just two points last season, there’s a strong desire to strengthen the squad and rectify past shortcomings. Notably, renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano has disclosed to GIVEMESPORT that Tottenham has initiated contact with the representatives of Rennes star Desire Doue as they pursue his signature.

Tottenham’s performance under Ange Postecoglou’s first season as manager was commendable, laying a solid foundation for the club’s ambitions to become a consistent Champions League contender. To achieve this, they need to make strategic acquisitions during the summer transfer window. Although securing a deal for Doue might prove challenging due to interest from powerhouses like Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, Romano asserts that Tottenham is firmly in the race for his signature.

The club’s pursuit of offensive reinforcements doesn’t stop with Doue. Romano also revealed to GIVEMESPORT that Tottenham is in ongoing discussions with the representatives of Pedro Neto from Wolves, highlighting their commitment to bolstering their attacking options.

Doue has garnered significant attention following an impressive season at Rennes, where he emerged as one of the club’s key players. At just 19 years old, he is already a standout talent for the future, having represented France’s under-19 team and made over 50 appearances in Ligue 1. His teammate, Baptiste Santamaria, even described him as ‘one of a kind,’ underlining the high regard in which he is held.

While Bayern Munich and PSG might seem like the frontrunners for Doue’s signature due to their established Champions League status, Tottenham offers a unique proposition. The Premier League’s allure and the prospect of more regular playing time could be significant factors in swaying Doue towards north London.

Sources have previously indicated that Doue could command a transfer fee of up to £60 million this summer. Speaking exclusively to GIVEMESPORT, Romano confirmed Tottenham’s contact with Doue’s representatives and reiterated the club’s desire to bring in an attacker, despite the stiff competition from Bayern and PSG.

When questioned about the potential arrivals of Doue, Eberechi Eze, or Pedro Neto, Romano highlighted Tottenham’s need for another young forward to complement their existing talent across the front three. Brennan Johnson and Dejan Kulusevski provide versatility and different qualities on the right flank, while Son Heung-min remains a mainstay in the forward line. Richarlison and Timo Werner, both capable of playing on the left or as central strikers, offer flexibility but also present a dilemma when considering backup options.

Bryan Gil, since his move from Sevilla, has struggled to make a significant impact, and the future of Manor Solomon remains uncertain. In this context, Doue’s addition would bring not only quality and youth but also a clear succession plan for Tottenham’s attacking lineup. His creativity and dynamism could prove invaluable, particularly when coming off the bench to offer a fresh, inventive approach on the left wing.
