Good for Neville, he finally got what he deserves, fans reacts after Neville Was trolled by Brilliant Cucurella

Marc Cucurella delivered a scathing response to Gary Neville after Spain clinched the Euro 2024 title. On Sunday evening, Spain triumphed over England with a 2-1 victory in the final held at Berlin’s Olympiastadion, securing their fourth European Championship.

Spain dominated the tournament, showcasing their superiority in the final. Luis de la Fuente’s squad took the lead shortly after halftime with a well-timed goal from Nico Williams. England managed to equalize through a brilliant strike from substitute Cole Palmer, but their hopes were dashed when Mikel Oyarzabal scored a late winner from close range. This victory marked Spain’s first major tournament win since 2012 and prolonged England’s 58-year wait for a major trophy.

Among the Spanish players, none seemed more ecstatic than Marc Cucurella. After a challenging debut season at Chelsea following his £55 million transfer from Brighton, the left-back impressed by starting in six of Spain’s seven matches. The 25-year-old excelled both defensively and offensively, capping off his tournament performance by delivering a perfect cross that led to the decisive goal.

Cucurella’s standout performances surprised many Premier League fans, especially Gary Neville. Before the tournament, the former England defender had cast doubt on Cucurella’s abilities, suggesting that his presence could hinder Spain’s chances of winning the championship.

“He hasn’t been convincing at Chelsea,” Neville commented on ITV. “He’s played a few games towards the end of the season, he’s aggressive, he’s tenacious, he’s a busy little full-back. That price tag still astounds everyone. The Spanish defense has a lot of experience, but there’s something missing from Spain that makes you feel like they’ll go all the way. And I have to say, him [Cucurella] being at left-back is probably another example of why we think that.”

Cucurella clearly did not forget Neville’s critical remarks. Shortly after the final whistle, with a gold medal around his neck, he posted Neville’s quote on his Instagram story alongside a photo of his celebration, captioning it: “We went all the way Gary. Thanks for your support.” Cucurella’s girlfriend, Claudia Rodriguez, joined in the fun, sharing a photo of Cucurella with the trophy and captioning it: “How was your night, @gneville2?”

This moment of sweet vindication for Cucurella highlighted his journey from a difficult season at Chelsea to becoming a crucial player in Spain’s victorious Euro 2024 campaign. His ability to silence critics and contribute significantly to his national team’s success was a testament to his resilience and talent.
