“Deal 100% completed and Finalized, only time is keeping it.. Spurs Insider gives fans assurance on delay in transfer after terms and conditions already agreed by both parties

John Wenham is unwavering in his belief that Tottenham Hotspur defender Emerson Royal will ultimately complete his transfer to AC Milan. Wenham, the esteemed host of the Lilywhite Rose podcast, is convinced that the two clubs will eventually settle on a fee, despite the current obstacles in the negotiation process.

Recent reports by BBC Sport on July 16 revealed that Tottenham Hotspur rejected an initial bid of £8.4 million from AC Milan for Emerson Royal. This offer, according to Wenham, was unexpectedly low and fell far short of Tottenham’s anticipated valuation of the player. Wenham expressed his bewilderment at the amount, suggesting that it does not reflect the value Spurs had in mind for Royal.

In an exclusive conversation with Tottenham News, Wenham elaborated on his thoughts: “I firmly believe that the move will eventually materialize, despite the current state of negotiations. The offers from AC Milan have been somewhat baffling, especially their initial bid which was quite modest. Given how much Tottenham had originally valued Emerson, this first offer was notably inadequate. While there is still a significant distance to cover before reaching an agreement, I am optimistic that the deal will come to fruition. The fact that Emerson is eager to make the switch to Milan makes it easier for Tottenham to proceed. It is now a matter of negotiating and finalizing a fee that both parties can agree upon, and I am confident that this will eventually happen.”

The prospects of the transfer still hold promise for all involved parties. AC Milan, keen to secure Emerson Royal’s services, will likely need to revise and enhance their offer to meet Tottenham’s expectations. On the other hand, Tottenham Hotspur appears open to allowing Emerson to leave, particularly after bolstering their squad with the signing of Archie Gray, who is capable of performing as a right-back.

Emerson Royal himself has shown a strong inclination towards making the move, as reported by Fabrizio Romano on July 2. His enthusiasm for the transfer adds another layer of optimism to the deal. While the process might involve some drawn-out and challenging negotiations, the combined interests of the player, the buying club, and the selling club suggest that a successful agreement is achievable, albeit potentially requiring some time to finalize.
