EXCLUSIVE- Harry Kane’ transfer agreed, Eze signs, £115m duo axed – Tottenham dream 25-man squad revealed
Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou is set to closely evaluate his squad during the pre-season as he considers potential signings for the upcoming 2024-25 Premier League campaign. Despite having only added one new player to their ranks so far, Spurs are poised to make further moves in the transfer market to strengthen their squad under the leadership of the former Celtic manager.
Postecoglou’s summer signings from the previous year made significant impacts early in the season. James Maddison, for example, shone brightly before an injury hindered his performance in the latter half of the campaign. Similarly, the £43 million investment in Micky van de Ven has proven to be a wise choice, with the Dutch defender receiving praise for his impressive displays, helping the team navigate through the departure of star striker Harry Kane to Bayern Munich.
This summer, Postecoglou is reportedly eager to continue building his ideal 25-man squad. So far, the only new addition is the 18-year-old talent Archie Gray. The impending loan move of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to Marseille, with an obligation to buy for £16 million, could accelerate Tottenham’s plans in the transfer market. Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has been on their radar for over a year, and with his contract entering its final year, Spurs see an opportunity for a potential bargain. Chelsea, despite being London rivals, are open to selling Gallagher to another Premier League club if their £50 million valuation is met. However, with Gallagher potentially available as a free agent next summer, Spurs might leverage this to negotiate a better deal.
