“I think it would be massive,” Hutton told Tottenham News in an exclusive interview. “Crystal Palace is demanding £70 million for Marc Guehi, and while Guehi is young and had an outstanding Euros, I believe Romero is worth around the same amount. Yes, he can be a bit reckless at times, but his speed and recovery tackles make him perfectly suited for Tottenham. Unless Real Madrid meets that valuation, I don’t see Spurs being willing to let him go.”
Hutton emphasized the significance of Romero’s role within the team, particularly his partnership with Micky van de Ven. “Romero is crucial for Tottenham next to Van de Ven, as they complement each other so well. Losing him now would be an absolute nightmare for the manager.”
