“His Journey with us is over”- Spurs insider brutally shares latest on the fate of highly rated top Tottenham star

Paul O’Keefe has strongly suggested that Sergio Reguilon is unlikely to remain at Tottenham Hotspur by the time the transfer window closes. The future of the Spanish full-back has been a topic of speculation since the transfer window opened, with uncertainty surrounding his role at the North London club.

Sergio Reguilon, who initially joined Tottenham in the summer of 2020 after a standout loan spell at Sevilla, has seen his status at the club decline significantly. The 27-year-old left-back was once a key figure in Spurs’ defensive lineup, but his importance has waned over time. Despite his early promise and contributions, Reguilon has found himself increasingly marginalized, with his role diminishing under successive managers.

During the 2022-2023 season, Reguilon spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Manchester United, where he made a respectable number of appearances. He then joined Brentford for the latter half of the season, adding to his experience and contributing with four assists over a total of 24 matches. Despite these efforts and performances, Reguilon’s return to Tottenham has not improved his standing within the club.

The situation is further complicated by the fact that Reguilon’s contract is approaching its final year, making it a priority for Tottenham to find a new home for him before the transfer window closes. The club is actively seeking to offload the player, as he is deemed surplus to requirements under the current management.

In response to inquiries about Reguilon’s future at the club, Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe delivered a blunt assessment, stating simply, “He’ll be gone.” This remark underscores the prevailing sentiment at Tottenham that Reguilon’s time with the club is coming to an end.

At 27, Reguilon still possesses considerable potential and could contribute significantly elsewhere. However, under the stewardship of manager Ange Postecoglou, Reguilon does not fit into the current tactical setup or team strategy. The Australian manager appears to have other plans and does not envision Reguilon as part of his squad going forward. Consequently, Tottenham is actively working to find a new club for Reguilon, aiming to finalize his departure before the transfer window shuts.

With the deadline approaching, the focus remains on securing a move for Reguilon that benefits both the player and the club, ensuring that he can continue his career elsewhere while allowing Tottenham to move forward with their squad planning.
