ANGE NAMES FINAL 25 MAN SQUAD FEATURING PLAYER WHOSE DEADLINE DAY EXIT COLLAPSED

Tottenham Hotspur have officially announced their 25-man squad for the 2024/25 season, following an eventful summer transfer window.

Under the leadership of manager Ange Postecoglou, the team has undergone significant changes, integrating a mix of experienced players and promising young talents as they prepare to compete in various competitions.

This summer, Tottenham made several high-profile signings to enhance their squad. Dominic Solanke, Archie Gray, Wilson Odobert, and Lucas Bergvall were brought in to strengthen the team. Additionally, they secured a future addition with South Korean winger Min-hyeok Yang, who will join the squad in January 2025, adding further depth to their attacking options for the latter half of the season. Timo Werner’s loan has also been extended for another year, ensuring his continued contribution to the team.

In terms of departures, Tottenham was active in moving on players who were not part of Postecoglou’s plans for the upcoming season. Notable exits included Oliver Skipp, who transferred to Leicester City; Emerson Royal, who moved to AC Milan; Joe Rodon, who joined Leeds United; and Giovani Lo Celso, who signed with Real Betis. Additionally, several players left on free transfers, while others were loaned out to gain valuable first-team experience elsewhere.

The finalized squad for the 2024/25 season reflects a well-balanced team, ready to tackle the challenges of the new campaign. The squad includes:

Goalkeepers: Guglielmo Vicario, Fraser Forster, Brandon Austin.
Defenders:Destiny Udogie, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Pedro Porro, Radu Drăgușin, Ben Davies, Djed Spence.

Midfielders:Yves Bissouma, Rodrigo Bentancur, Pape Matar Sarr, Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall, James Maddison, Alfie Devine, Mikey Moore.

Attackers: Dejan Kulusevski, Brennan Johnson, Dominic Solanke, Wilson Odobert, Heung-min Son, Richarlison, Timo Werner.

The inclusion of Alfie Devine in the squad indicates that Tottenham may have decided to keep him after a proposed move to Birmingham collapsed on deadline day. This decision suggests that the club values his potential and wants to retain his services for the upcoming season.
