‘Astonishing’ – Allen Slammed Man United decision ahead of West Ham clash.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s exit from behind-the-scenes at Manchester United ahead of their match against West Ham United has drawn strong criticism from Martin Allen.

Allen posted a video on X (27 October) of the “calm before the storm” in an empty London Stadium a day before the sides meet, assessing the state of the Irons’ opponents in their latest Premier League match. The former Hammers midfielder blasted Manchester United for their treatment of Ferguson after news of his departure as a club ambassador, and took aim at current captain Bruno Fernandes, too.

Allen said: “It’s [the] calm before the storm.

“Long midweek trip for Man [United] and no Sir Alex on board after they sacked him. Astonishing move from people who have Billions!”In the video itself, he added: “Oh my god, I wish I was playing – I’d have that Fernandes, whoosh!”Martin Allen hoping for big West Ham reaction v Manchester United

None of the Premier League’s three ‘United’ teams are having particularly good seasons, but it’s clear just how desperately in need of a victory Julen Lopetegui’s West Ham side are.Facing a similarly underperforming Manchester United, Allen and Lopetegui both will come that home advantage plays a big factor for the Irons, following their 4-1 demolition by Tottenham last time out.

Being thumped by Spurs is also something the Red Devils have experienced recently, and Lopetegui will need to ensure that the reaction from his side is one which satisfies the home crowd.Minus Mohammed Kudus, who is banned for at least three matches following his needless late red card in North London, the Irons are missing arguably their best player at the worst possible time for Lopetegui.

The Hammers’ other key players – many of whom are yet to make much of an impression under the Spaniard – must stand tall and heap the pressure on Erik ten Hag in the other dugout instead.

In other West Ham news, Michail Antonio has made a prediction of how one starlet’s career could pan out at the London Stadium.
