Tottenham Hotspur seems to be hitting its stride as they currently occupy the 8th position in the Premier League standings. However, this ranking is likely to change as Ange Postecoglou’s team aims for a coveted top-four finish. Their next challenge will be against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on the 27th.

In a notable development, Mikey Moore made only his second start in the recent 1-0 win over AZ Alkmaar, where he once again showcased his talent. Teammate James Maddison humorously compared Moore’s wing play to that of the renowned Neymar, highlighting the young player’s potential. Despite the rising excitement surrounding Moore, Postecoglou expressed confidence that the 17-year-old will remain grounded and avoid becoming overwhelmed by premature comparisons.

With Son Heung-min still recovering from reported muscle soreness, Mikey Moore is poised to make his full Premier League debut against Crystal Palace. Postecoglou is optimistic about Moore’s future, emphasizing that the teenager is mature for his age and able to handle the pressures of professional football.

When asked about the Neymar comparison, Postecoglou clarified, “Just to be clear, I didn’t call Mikey, Neymar. I think Mikey just wants to be Mikey.” He continued to praise Moore’s maturity, stating, “What I see with him is that he’s very mature for a 17-year-old, and he handles things really well.”

Postecoglou also acknowledged the potential challenges that young players often face, saying, “Sometimes young players are exciting, but you can see pitfalls down the road. I don’t see that with him.” He concluded by expressing hope for Moore’s future, stating, “At 17, you think about what he will be like at 21, and hopefully, I will be the manager then!”

As Tottenham prepares for their upcoming match, all eyes will be on Moore to see if he can build on his impressive performances and help propel the team closer to their goals for the season.
