However, he admitted he’d be willing to part with one of his subsequent five titles for the honor of having lifted a European trophy in Spurs colors.
His comments came in the wake of Tottenham finally ending their long trophy drought. The club recently triumphed over Manchester United in a thrilling Europa League final, sparking euphoric celebrations among fans and players alike. Walker’s former teammate and close friend Son Heung-min proudly hoisted the trophy, marking Spurs’ first major piece of silverware in 17 years.

Despite all that, Walker’s sentiment highlights the emotional connection he still feels with Tottenham. He played a key role during a transformative period for the club, helping them challenge the top teams in England and compete regularly in the Champions League, including a memorable run to the final in 2019—two years after he departed.
As for Walker’s current situation, his future remains uncertain. After a short loan spell with AC Milan, the Italian club has opted not to pursue a permanent deal. With one year remaining on his Manchester City contract, he is expected to return to the club for pre-season, unless another move materializes. Manager Pep Guardiola appears to be planning for the future without him, casting doubt over Walker’s role in the squad going forward.
