Tottenham still interested in Randal Kolo Muani amidst Juventus transfer standoff

Tottenham Hotspur Maintain Interest in Randal Kolo Muani Amid Juventus Uncertainty

Tottenham Hotspur have not given up hope of signing French forward Randal Kolo Muani this summer, despite the player currently being caught in a transfer tug-of-war between Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus. The North London club had previously made a strong push to bring the 26-year-old to the Premier League in January, only to see him opt for a loan switch to Serie A giants Juventus instead.

Kolo Muani, who was reportedly close to joining Spurs during the winter transfer window, ended up choosing a move to Turin, where he has since impressed with his performances. During his short stint in Italy, the dynamic attacker found the back of the net eight times in just 16 league outings, quickly establishing himself as a valuable asset in Juventus’ attack. His success has naturally prompted interest in a permanent stay with the Bianconeri.

Despite his apparent preference to remain in Turin, Tottenham are keeping a close eye on the unfolding situation. According to TBR Football, the club remains keen to sign the PSG-owned striker and could make another approach this summer if Juventus fail to secure a permanent deal. Spurs’ interest in the versatile French international remains strong, especially as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

However, one significant obstacle stands in Tottenham’s path—Kolo Muani’s personal preference. Reports suggest that the forward, who is currently representing Juventus at the FIFA Club World Cup, would rather continue his career in Italy than make the move to England. This presents a considerable challenge for Spurs, as well as for Chelsea, who have also expressed interest in bringing the Frenchman to London.

Chelsea are believed to have approached PSG regarding Kolo Muani’s availability, with the Blues also in search of attacking reinforcements following an inconsistent season. Nevertheless, both London clubs face the same problem: convincing the player to abandon his preferred destination of Juventus for the Premier League.

The situation is further complicated by the nature of the ongoing negotiations between PSG and Juventus. The Italian side, while eager to keep Kolo Muani, are reportedly only interested in extending his loan deal, whereas the Ligue 1 champions are pushing for a permanent transfer. This deadlock could open a window of opportunity for Tottenham and Chelsea if an agreement between the two European giants cannot be reached.

Kolo Muani, who made a name for himself at Eintracht Frankfurt before earning a big-money move to PSG, still has admirers across Europe thanks to his pace, physicality, and intelligent movement. His potential arrival would be a major coup for Tottenham, particularly under new manager Thomas Frank, who is looking to reshape the squad following a challenging season.

With the summer transfer window heating up and the future of Randal Kolo Muani hanging in the balance, Tottenham’s hopes may yet be revived. If PSG stand firm on their demand for a permanent sale and Juventus hesitate, the Premier League could become a more realistic option for the French international—provided Spurs or Chelsea can sway his preference.
