Georgiy Sudakov – Shakhtar Donetsk: Tottenham had been strongly linked with Sudakov earlier in the summer, with a £60m transfer deal reportedly in the works. The deal ultimately fell through, and Sudakov continued to shine at Shakhtar Donetsk.
Known for his dynamic play and ability to score and assist—netting 10 goals and providing six assists last season—Sudakov was seen as a promising addition to Tottenham’s attacking midfield, potentially offering valuable rotation options alongside James Maddison. Santiago Gimenez – Feyenoord: Spurs were on the verge of signing Santiago Gimenez in June as they sought to bolster their striking options. However, they eventually chose to pursue Dominic Solanke later in the window. Gimenez, who has been prolific for Feyenoord with 53 goals in 90 appearances since joining in 2022, was considered one of the top young talents in Europe. Pedro Neto – Chelsea: Tottenham was tracking Pedro Neto before he completed a £54m transfer to Chelsea.
