However, after evaluating Alcaraz’s contributions, Everton have now decided to make the move permanent.
Marques added that the structure of the deal will see the £12.6 million fee paid in three instalments, offering Everton a financially manageable route to secure the promising midfielder’s services.

Although Alcaraz didn’t play as many minutes as initially anticipated following his winter arrival, his influence grew steadily towards the end of the campaign.
