He is also rated as the No. 13 running back in his class and the No. 19 player from the football-rich state of Georgia.
Lamar recently unveiled his plans for three official visits this summer, with a highly anticipated trip to Georgia set for May 30. Along with the Bulldogs, he will also visit Auburn and Miami (FL), making his summer a crucial period in his recruitment process.
Georgia Clearly Leading in Lamar’s Recruitment
Although no official predictions have been made regarding Lamar’s commitment, his actions and words suggest that Georgia is firmly in the driver’s seat. In a recent interview with On3, Lamar was asked what the Bulldogs need to do to maintain their lead in his recruitment, and his response was simple but telling:

However, Lamar’s affinity for Georgia isn’t new. His interest in the Bulldogs has been apparent since at least November, when he publicly stated that Georgia was his “number one” school. That level of transparency in his recruitment leaves little doubt about where he currently stands.

One of the key factors in Georgia’s success in Lamar’s recruitment has been their early and consistent interest in him. Lamar recently shared insight into his relationship with Georgia, particularly with running backs coach Dell McGee and assistant coach Nick Crawford.
“I mean, before I even hopped on the field, before anyone even knew my name, Coach Crawford stopped by my school, and he liked my size,” Lamar told 247Sports. “He actually recruited my oldest brother, so he just already knew the type of abilities I had, and he wanted me to put on a couple games of film, and he was gonna offer me.”
This long-standing connection has helped Georgia build a strong foundation with Lamar and his family, making it even more likely that the Bulldogs will be his eventual landing spot.
What’s Next for Jae Lamar?
At this stage, it remains unclear when Lamar will make his final decision. However, considering his repeated praise of Georgia and his close ties to the coaching staff, it would be a major surprise if he doesn’t ultimately commit to the Bulldogs.
