Tottenham Open to Manor Solomon Exit as Transfer Window Enters Final Weeks

Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to part ways with winger Manor Solomon before the close of the summer transfer window, with the club open to both permanent and temporary moves depending on the interest received.

 

Solomon has endured a difficult spell in north London since joining Spurs on a free transfer in 2023. His debut season was cut short in September that year when he suffered a serious knee injury, keeping him sidelined for months. In search of regular game time, he spent the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Leeds United, where he rediscovered form and fitness, playing a pivotal role in their promotion push.

 

The Israel international was a key figure in Daniel Farke’s Championship-winning side, making 39 appearances, scoring 10 goals, and registering several important assists. His most memorable moment came in April, when his stoppage-time winner against Plymouth Argyle secured the title for Leeds.

 

Despite that success, Solomon’s future at Tottenham remains uncertain. Standard Sport understands that new head coach Thomas Frank does not consider the 25-year-old an essential part of his plans moving forward. A calf injury hampered Solomon’s pre-season preparations, ruling him out of the club’s summer tour to Hong Kong and South Korea, as well as Frank’s opening match in charge against Reading.

 

Spurs have yet to decide whether Solomon will leave permanently or on loan, with the decision likely to hinge on the nature of offers received. While no formal bids have been made, both Premier League and La Liga clubs are reportedly monitoring the situation closely.

 

Tottenham’s depth in the wide attacking areas has also played a role in Solomon’s uncertain standing. The club has bolstered its options with the signing of Mohammed Kudus and the permanent arrival of Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich. Meanwhile, promising winger Mikey Moore has joined Rangers on loan but remains tied to Spurs for the long term after signing a new contract on his 18th birthday earlier this week.

 

In addition to managing outgoings, Spurs are still exploring further reinforcements in attack. The north London side hold an interest in Manchester City’s Brazilian winger Savinho, though City maintain he is not for sale. However, Pep Guardiola has previously sanctioned exits for players who have made their desire to leave clear.

 

Tottenham have also entered negotiations over Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, who is attracting interest from Arsenal as well. Eze’s contract contains a £68 million release clause, but it expires on Friday, potentially accelerating discussions for any club intent on securing his services.

 

With just weeks left in the transfer window, Solomon’s future — along with Spurs’ attacking plans — could take several turns, as the club balance squad depth with the pursuit of high-profile signings.
