MONDAY MORNING BREAKING NEWS- Ivan Toney signs, dream signing for Spurs, 7 players denied the chance to play with him after being axed & huge Saudi deal for Tottenham star

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has reportedly asked the board for three new signings during the summer transfer window. For that to happen, sales will surely be required to thin out a bloated squad, which missed out on Champions League qualification this season.
With several big Spurs names out on loan, a number of others believed to be in the shop window and a handful of prospects in Postecoglou’s crosshairs, Express Sport takes you through how Tottenham’s dream summer would pan out
Ivan Toney signs
RB Leipzig youngster Benjamin Sesko and Feyenoord marksman Santiago Gimenez are both thought to have admirers in north London after excellent individual seasons. But in the search for a new striker, Brentford man Toney offers guaranteed Premier League goals.
The Bees have already splashed out on £30million forward Igor Thiago in anticipation of their star player’s exit this summer. Toney has made no secret of his desire to test himself at the top level, and while Spurs are reportedly keen, it remains to be seen whether price proves to be a sticking point as the Lilywhites don’t want to go above £40m.Seven players axedOf those to have spent the season amongst Postecoglou’s squad; Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Giovani Lo Celso and Bryan Gil are all thought to be for sale at the right price this summer. None of the trio have managed to nail down a regular starting spot, and each of them could fetch a handsome fee in the transfer market.Spurs chairman Daniel Levy could raise further cash by auctioning off a number of players who were loaned out in 2023/24. Tanguy Ndombele, Sergio Reguilon and Djed Spence are all set to return to north London and be placed straight on the for-sale list, while Japhet Tanganga is still weighing up whether to join Millwall permanently after a successful stint across London.Huge Saudi deal
If Spurs are able to bring in a new striker, they may be willing to part ways with Richarlison. Despite flashes of brilliance, it hasn’t really worked out for the Brazilian at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and his head could be turned by big money from the Middle East.
According to reports, Saudi Pro League champions Al-Hilal are keen to explore a move for Richarlison after first launching an enquiry in January. For Spurs, exploring that avenue may be the best route to ensure they get the most out of a prospective sale.
