Thomas Frank has reportedly remained in dialogue with Tottenham’s hierarchy as pressure continues to mount on the Danish head coach following another damaging Premier League defeat.
Spurs slipped to a 2-1 loss against Newcastle United, a result that has only intensified the growing unrest among supporters in North London. However, Frank’s post-match comments are unlikely to calm the storm. “I understand the frustration,” he admitted. “I also understand the easiest thing is to point at me. That’s fair — that’s part of the job unfortunately.”

“I also know one thing — I’ll work day and night very hard to do everything I can to turn things around,” he continued. “But it’s never only one person. Although I think it’s fair to say that this situation we’ve also been in last year.
“So this is something we need to get through and improve, and I’m not in doubt that I’m part of that.”
With Tottenham hovering dangerously close to the relegation zone, speculation about Frank’s future has inevitably intensified. When directly asked whether he feared being dismissed ahead of the crucial North London derby, the Spurs boss delivered a firm response.
“No. I spoke to them [the Tottenham hierarchy] yesterday, so no.”
That admission confirms that lines of communication remain open between Frank and the board, suggesting that, at least for now, he retains their backing. The 52-year-old also insisted that supporter unrest would not dictate the club’s decision-making process regarding his future.
Doubling down on his earlier comments, Frank made it clear that external pressure would not alter his approach.
“What I do is I will work very hard to make sure we do everything we can to put a competitive team out there and do everything we can,” he added, reiterating his commitment to fighting through the crisis.
Despite those reassurances, the reality for Tottenham is increasingly bleak. Spurs were spared an even more precarious position in the standings after West Ham were denied victory against Manchester United by a dramatic late equaliser in stoppage time.
