Same agent as Kudus: Paratici now personally driving Tottenham move for £87m “absolute powerhouse”
Tottenham Hotspur sporting director Fabio Paratici is reportedly taking personal charge of a potential transfer for FC Porto striker Samu Omorodion, described by scouts as an “absolute powerhouse”, and notably represented by the same agent as Mohammed Kudus.
Tel’s frustration after Champions League omission
The move comes amid ongoing uncertainty around Mathys Tel, who was left out of Tottenham’s Champions League squad earlier this season. The young French forward didn’t hide his frustration about the decision, admitting he was “very, very mad for a lot of weeks.”
“I told myself, ‘use this anger to show the coach you deserve to be in the squad,’” Tel said. “Bad things help me more than good things to improve. I’m not in the list right now, but I’ll do everything to make sure I’m in it by January.”
Despite his determination, Thomas Frank’s decision to exclude the 19-year-old is starting to look more justified. Tel delivered a disappointing display in Tottenham’s 2-1 home defeat to Aston Villa, failing to impose himself before being replaced by Richarlison due to a calf problem.

According to The Boot Room, the Italian executive is personally driving negotiations to bring in Omorodion from Porto. However, the deal may prove challenging financially, as the Spanish-born forward has a £87 million release clause written into his contract.
That said, there’s growing optimism a lower fee could be agreed, particularly given Porto’s precarious financial position. Spurs are said to be encouraged by that possibility as they weigh their January options.
With Dominic Solanke sidelined through injury and Richarlison struggling to stay fit, Spurs’ attacking depth has been tested. Tel’s inconsistency has only added to those concerns, leaving Paratici eager to strengthen the front line with a reliable, physical presence.

While Omorodion is clearly high on Tottenham’s radar, he’s not the only name being discussed. Reports continue to link Spurs with Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović, a player Paratici has admired since his time in Italy.
Still, Omorodion’s rapid development, his hunger to prove himself, and his connection with Kudus’ agent could make him the more attainable option in January.

Bringing in a striker of Omorodion’s profile would be a bold statement of intent from Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham. The club has made progress under the Australian coach, but inconsistency in front of goal has been a recurring issue.
