Pedro Porro under fire For ‘Bullying’ Teammate Who Clapped Fans After Spurs 1-2 Fulham
Pedro Porro has sparked outrage among Tottenham Hotspur supporters after cameras captured him in a heated confrontation with teammate Lucas Bergvall in the aftermath of Spurs’ 2–1 loss to Fulham. The defender appeared visibly angry and was seen shouting in Bergvall’s direction moments after the final whistle, adding further tension to what was already a deeply frustrating evening for the North London side.
A Nightmare Start for Spurs
Tottenham’s problems began almost immediately. In a disastrous opening spell, Kenny Tete’s deflected effort handed Fulham the lead inside four minutes. Barely two minutes later, a misjudged touch from goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario gifted Harry Wilson the simplest of finishes, plunging Spurs into a two-goal deficit before many fans had even taken their seats.
Although Spurs managed to pull one back in the second half through Mohammed Kudus, the home side could not find a way past Fulham’s organised defence again. Boos From the Stands – and Tension on the Pitch
As the players attempted to thank the supporters, a chorus of boos rang out around the stadium. Not all members of the squad reacted in the same way. Footage from inside the ground showed Bergvall beginning his customary lap of appreciation, applauding those fans who had remained. Porro, however, appeared reluctant to do the same.
Instead, the Spaniard hovered near the centre circle, visibly frustrated, and repeatedly called out to Bergvall. When the young midfielder continued clapping the supporters, Porro marched toward him, shouting, before Pape Matar Sarr stepped in to gently hold him back. Moments later, Porro abandoned the pitch entirely, heading straight down the tunnel without acknowledging the crowd.
The incident comes only weeks after Micky van de Ven and Djed Spence also stormed down the tunnel following a defeat to Chelsea, refusing to acknowledge manager Thomas Frank. Combined, the incidents are raising questions about squad harmony under the new head coach.
Frank Responds – Calls for Calm
When asked about the altercation post-match, Thomas Frank admitted he had not seen Porro’s reaction firsthand. However, he emphasised that the squad must remain composed during this difficult patch.
“We are in a tough spell right now,” Frank said. “For my players, it’s about staying calm and doing everything we can to work our way through it.”
His comments come after he recently criticised a section of Spurs fans for booing Vicario following his costly error—another sign of the mounting pressure around the club.
Supporters Blast Porro on Social Media
The footage of Porro confronting Bergvall quickly spread online, where supporters were quick to voice their frustration. Many rallied behind the young Swedish midfielder, accusing Porro of inappropriate behaviour.

Some supporters went even further, arguing that Tottenham would be better off selling Porro altogether.

A Newcastle victory would see them leapfrog Tottenham into the top half of the table.
