The Tottenham manager went even further, explaining that he and the club’s goalkeeping coach intend to tailor Kinsky’s training specifically around his development.
“With the goalkeeper coach and me, we will create the training just for him to better understand the free player and everything he needs,” De Zerbi explained.
That could be a huge development for Kinsky.
Modern goalkeepers are expected to do far more than simply make saves. They must be comfortable with the ball at their feet, understand when to play short and when to go long, make quick decisions under pressure and help their team control possession.
De Zerbi clearly sees those qualities in Kinsky already.
“He is very clear with the pass, but he can become faster in the decision in build-up. He has all qualities to become one of the best,” the Spurs boss added.
Those are enormous words of praise for a goalkeeper who is still only 23.

After everything that happened last season, Tottenham supporters desperately need something to believe in.
Kinsky could provide exactly that.
The Czech goalkeeper now knows he has the full confidence of his manager, a new contract in his pocket and an opportunity to establish himself as Tottenham’s undisputed first-choice goalkeeper.
