According to reports from the Daily Mail, Tottenham have discussed the possibility of making a move for the 25-year-old Senegal international. There has been no formal approach to Chelsea at this stage, but Jackson’s name is understood to have been considered internally as Spurs continue their ambitious squad overhaul.
And with De Zerbi openly admitting that Tottenham’s summer business is only around “60 per cent” complete, supporters could be in for another dramatic twist before deadline day.
Spurs have already spent close to £250 million strengthening their squad, bringing in major additions including Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, Jan Paul van Hecke, Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi.
Yet despite that huge investment, De Zerbi appears far from satisfied.

But £65 million is the massive question.
Tottenham supporters would expect a player arriving for that kind of money to make an immediate impact. Jackson has demonstrated his potential, but he still has areas of his game that need refinement.
If Spurs can negotiate a lower fee or structure an attractive deal, this could suddenly become one of the most interesting transfers of the summer.
And if Richarlison departs, the argument for signing Jackson becomes even stronger.
For now, nothing is advanced—but the door is clearly not closed.
