Tottenham’s Savinho Deal EXPOSED: Full £85m Breakdown Reveals Exactly How Much Spurs Will Pay Man City

Tottenham Set to Pay Huge £85m for Savinho as Man City Record Sale Sparks Fresh Transfer Twist

Tottenham Hotspur appear to have pulled off one of the biggest statements of the summer transfer window after finally reaching an agreement to sign Manchester City winger Savinho in a deal that could rise to a staggering £85 million.

The long-awaited transfer took another major step forward on Thursday evening when transfer expert Fabrizio Romano delivered his famous “Here We Go”, confirming that Savinho is set to leave the Etihad and continue his career in North London.

The move has been developing for much of the summer, with Tottenham and Manchester City locked in negotiations over the 22-year-old Brazilian winger. However, the two clubs have now finally found common ground, with the agreement reportedly being completed less than 48 hours before Tottenham begin their new Premier League campaign.

And the final numbers have certainly raised eyebrows.

Tottenham Could Pay £85m for Savinho

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Tottenham have agreed to pay £75 million up front, with a further £10 million available in add-ons.

Importantly, £5 million of those bonuses are reportedly considered guaranteed, meaning the overall package could effectively move toward the £80m mark even before every performance-related condition is met.

Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has also backed up the figures, reporting that the deal is worth around £75 million guaranteed, with another £10 million in potential bonuses.

If all the conditions are eventually met, Tottenham could therefore pay as much as £85 million for the Brazilian.

That figure would make Savinho the most expensive player Manchester City have ever sold, adding another remarkable twist to an already eye-catching transfer.

Jacobs reported that the agreement is a club-record sale for City, while Plettenberg also confirmed that the deal is effectively done, with only the medical and contract formalities standing between Savinho and his move to Spurs.

For Tottenham supporters, this is potentially huge news.

Roberto De Zerbi has been looking to add more explosive quality to his attacking options, and Savinho could provide exactly that. His pace, creativity and ability to operate in wide areas make him a potentially dangerous addition to Tottenham’s frontline.

Is There More to the Deal?

However, there is another fascinating element to the negotiations.

Tottenham and Manchester City are also believed to be discussing a possible deal for Omar Marmoush, meaning Savinho’s transfer could potentially be just one part of a much bigger agreement between the two clubs.

Marmoush has attracted serious interest from Spurs, but negotiations could be complicated by a 15 per cent sell-on clause held by Eintracht Frankfurt.

That clause has already sparked speculation online about whether the structure of the Savinho deal could somehow have an impact on the wider negotiations surrounding Marmoush.

There is currently no confirmed evidence that the £85m Savinho package has been inflated or structured specifically to address Marmoush’s sell-on clause, so that theory should be treated cautiously.

Nevertheless, the timing has certainly added fuel to the speculation.

Tottenham’s Transfer Ambitions Clear

Whatever happens with Marmoush, Tottenham’s pursuit of Savinho sends an unmistakable message about their ambitions.

Spurs are prepared to spend serious money to give De Zerbi the attacking weapons he wants, and an £85m package would represent a huge financial commitment to a player who could become one of the faces of their new-look team.

With the transfer window rapidly approaching its conclusion, Tottenham fans may not have to wait long to see what comes next.

Savinho appears to be on his way to North London, but if Spurs can also find a way to land Marmoush, their attacking revolution could become even more dramatic.

An £85m Savinho deal, a potential Marmoush move and a record Manchester City sale Tottenham’s transfer window is suddenly becoming impossible to ignore.
